There are still a relatively small amount of users for Vista When I had downloaded wmp554g they still had RT61 listed on ther, they must have just recently updated.

In Windows’ device manager update the driver and choose your own driver and say “have disc” then point it to the location the files were extracted to in C: Bypass the automatic search and choose to designate the driver you want to install.
Anyway, for those having problem with the WMP54G, this is a working solution.
You will have to “force” Win Vista to accept the driver. I’m having the same issues as the rest of you with Vista 64 compatibility. So if anyone has this same setup Click “Browse” enter the path e. I forgot to mention that when I installed the Vista 32 drivers the only problem I ran into was something along the lines of windows not wanting to run it because it wasnt certified for the device.

Download and run the setup. Message Edited by primus on It will extract the files and run the installer. Hope it will work. But I had the same problem with a Netgear wireless adapter too. I uninstalled the Linksys drivers first and then loaded the RAlink drivers per the instructions above.
